The May 2026 advisory board meeting of the Competence Center for On-the-Go Consumption was held at the Uniti expo in Stuttgart, one of the leading international trade exhibitions for the fuel, convenience, and mobility retail sector, drawing industry stakeholders from across Europe and beyond. The day’s programme centred on expert perspectives on the future of the convenience industry, opening with a session featuring Dan Munford, CEO of Insight Research & Global Convenience, Harry Milloff, CEO of The Moseley Group, and Christian Warning of Retail Marketeers, who shared their forecasts on where the sector is headed. Brian Donaldson, CEO of the Maxol Group, then presented on the Uniti Expo Forum on leading transformational change in Irish forecourt and convenience retail and joined the meeting for a private Q&A. After a working lunch and guided tour of the Lekkerland exhibition stand, members conducted a structured walk of the trade show, visiting Circle K Deutschland, Avia Deutschland GmbH, and Jet Tankstellen Deutschland GmbH to gain first-hand insight into current retail formats and in-store strategies. The afternoon concluded with a presentation by Mark Wohltmann, Director of NACS Global, on future trends shaping the convenience sector, followed by a group reflection and closing discussion. The evening program brought members together for the Members Night at the Hack GenussGARTEN.
