The March 2026 advisory board meeting of the Competence Center for On-the-Go Consumption was hosted by Intersnack Deutschland SE at their campus in Cologne Deutz. Intersnack is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of salty snacks, producing a broad portfolio of well-known brands across multiple markets. The session opened with a guided tour of the Intersnack campus, followed by a company presentation delivered by Karl Westing covering Intersnack’s history, brand portfolio, and strategic direction. Guest speaker Judith Kleinlosen then presented on the development and market significance of the salty snacks category. After lunch at the Intersnack Stadium, Andreas Tussing, founder and CEO of Charles — a company specialising in conversational commerce solutions — gave an in-depth talk on the sector’s development and its practical applications. The academic programme concluded with a research update on the ongoing conversational commerce study and a presentation on AI applications at Heineken.
