In May 2024, the advisory board attended the Uniti trade fair in Stuttgart, one of Europe’s premier exhibitions for the fuel station, convenience retail, and car wash industries. The program began with a presentation by Christian Stöppler on digital retail media and its potential for fuel stations, followed by an update on the retail media study and its research approach. The group then toured the trade fair, visiting the Lekkerland booth and exploring various exhibitor stands including Ryd GmbH (formerly Tanktaler), ViewNet (LED in-store screen solutions), Filibri GmbH (fuel station digitalization), Decor Metall (in-store screens and digital shelving), and VusionGroup (formerly Imagotag, providers of digital price and shelf displays). The day concluded with a discussion on reflections from the fair, next steps, and planning for future meetings and studies.
